Lift-the-Dot Installation Tool
This Lift-the-Dot installation tool has been tried and tested and is designed to make fitting Lift-the-Dot sockets quick, clean and straightforward.
The tool is struck with a hammer to punch a hole through fabric materials so that a Lift-the-Dot socket and washer can be installed neatly and securely.
Ideal for installing Lift-the-Dot fasteners used on boat covers, sprayhoods, cockpit covers, gazebo curtains and upholstery projects.

How the Tool Works
- Place the tool on the canvas or fabric
- Strike with a hammer to punch a clean hole
- Install the Lift-the-Dot socket and washer

A Helpful Tip
Most people place a block of wood under the canvas when using tools like this. That works fine, but here is a tip that works even better.
Place a magazine or catalogue (something similar to a TV guide) between the wood block and the canvas before striking the tool with a hammer. This helps produce a cleaner cut and protects the fabric.
