YKK self adhesive snad fasteners used with snap fasteners
These self adhesive snad fasteners work best with our brass nickel plated press snap fasteners.

The Snad fastener is only available in a STUD or SOCKET style.

The press snap CAP and SOCKET normally go together on the canvas and then click onto the Snad STUD on the deck.

So just make sure you order the correct YKK Snad base.
I have labelled them all with either STUD or SOCKET

About snad fasteners
Unlike traditional metal trims, SNAD® is a plastic adhesive snap component. This product will not snag clothing or deteriorate from exposure to sunlight, sand, or dirt. Plus, walking on SNAD® is pain free due to its unique dome shape. Installation is simple, clean the surface where the snap is to be applied, peel off the protective paper backing, position and firmly hold the snap in place and release. No tools, no waiting, no splits, no holes!

Surface Preparation Instructions and Application Guidelines: Snap components will adhere to most clean, dry and well-unified surfaces. Typical surface cleaning solvents are a 50/50 Isopropyl Alcohol (rubbing alcohol) water mixture. Let air dry or wipe dry with a soft lint-free cloth before applying fastener. Remove liner from back of disk. Position snap and roll into place. Press down on the snap working all the way around the snap and in the center to secure to substrate.

Application Pressure: Bond strength is dependent upon the amount of adhesive-to-surface contact developed. Firm application pressure develops a better adhesive contact and thus improves bond strength.

Application Temperature: Ideal tape application temperature range is 70ºF to 100ºF (21ºC to 38ºC).

Dwell Time: After application, the bond strength increases and approaches the ultimate bond strength after 72 hours at 70ºF (21ºC). Typical bond strength build-up: 20 minutes equals 50% bond strength, one hour equals 75% bond strength, one day equals 90% bond strength, and three days equals 100% bond strength.
